To tell you the truth, if there was a vote to choose between metrication and
giving up the guns in America, I would choose the last one. 

The reason I dedicated myself to the metrication cause is because, like Andy
said sometime ago, I believe that it is an achievable goal.

I wish that every American could get a taste of how it is to live in a place
that has a ban on guns, and similarly, in one that is 100% metric.

Well, we can look at the bright side of this fascination with guns: it 
helps advance metrification. One of the most popular guns in urban areas is 
a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol, commonly referred to as "a nine." "Thirty 
caliber" sounds old fashioned in comparison.
