Norm, it even explicitly states on that page:
System of Measurement: Liberia uses both the English &
Metric System - (Government uses English, most businesses,
merchants and schools use the Metric system)
Seems that, in addition to taking English and a version of the US flag
back to Africa, the resettled people also took with them our
governmental foot-dragging* and a willingness to let business lead the
way. What a legacy!
