Sorry for the local nature of this information, but I thought it might be
of interest. I've never been to one of these (and may not get to this
one), so I don't know how much they push SI.

Subject: [BLUG-ANNOUNCE] Colorado Weights and Measures Open House

Not exactly Linux related, but this is related to NIST and since we meet
in the NIST auditorium ...

The Measurement Standards Section of the Colorado Department of
Agriculture will host an open house to teach the public about weights
and measurements through hands-on demonstrations. In its fifth year,
the annual event will take place 1 to 7 p.m. at 3125 Wyandot Street,
Denver, on Friday, April 20, 2001.

The Measurement Standards Section licenses all weighing and measuring
devices in commercial use and certifies all public scales in Colorado.

NIST will have an open house on May 11 and 12 in celebration of 100 years
of service.
