It's true, in their English language site about the space tourist I saw 200
miles (320 km); in the first place they do it for the British and the Irish
and secondly they may think that people who have learned English, also
understand, and maybe even prefer, ifp. At least CNN could do away with
Fahrenheit altogether on European sites.
CNN also has European sites in other languages; I went to the German site,
looked at the weather, but I did not see the "German" thermometric scale
used there, only the "Swedish" one. On the German language site was an item
about the space tourist, but no measurements were given of anything,
