I use Delorme's digital Road Warrior Street Edition
of Street Atlas USA for various things including locations of a potential
elevated monorail/monobeam people mover system in the Maryland area of
Washingtyon DC. Delorme digital Street Atlases and Topo Maps allow you to
work in either metric or English units at the click of a button. I set my
system to metric for most of the time.
I use 400 m or 0.4 km radius for dot size which is
a quarter mile or 440 yards. Neat! The size is great for 1:100 000 and
1:200 000 scale maps and shows up well in color too. Try it.
