In today's (Sunday) Cleveland Plain Dealer, there was an article about
Dennis Tito, the American Millionaire who paid 20 M$ to the Russians for a
ride on the station.

The article entitled "Russians defend space tourist against charge he's a
burden" by John Daniszewski of the Los Angeles Times quoted Tito as saying:

"The American sector [of the space station] is at least 100 m from the
place where we are sitting now...and there is absolutely no way my presence
can interfere with their work."

This statement was not translated to yards, no does the word yard appear
parenthetically. The statement appears twice in the article, once in the
article in normal font and another in large bold font under the photo
caption.

It shows that Americans do use SI, or at least the media didn't dumb it down
so to appear he spoke in FFU.

John

Keiner ist hoffnungsloser versklavt als derjenige, der irrtmlich glaubt
frei zu sein.

There are none more hopelessly enslaved then those who falsely believe they
are free!

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)
