To the webmaster at wunderground.com:

I've had your banner posted on my home page at the College of
Charleston for a few years now. (Check out my URL below.)

It's time to comment again on your product. Things are looking pretty
good on the banner itself but the forecast page is a different matter:

1. I thought we had sorted out the spacing for temperatures but
something seems to have slipped. In your block for "conditions" you
need to change the text in your coding script to put the space in front
of the raised circle and NOT between the raised circle and the "C".
Even Canada is now shifting to follow this more prevalent universal
practice. (By the way, that's also the way the SI brochure does it and
since the authors of that brochure define the SI, they should know).

2. While you're at it, why don't you change the "kilometers" in the
Visibility window to "km" (NOT kms, by the way!). Symbols are much more
universal than spelled out unit names and are to be preferred.

3. CNN-weather and many other sites have mastered the ability to
"translate" forecast info on the fly from American Hodgpodge (mph,
temperatures in Foreignheight, etc.) to metric. Please make another
effort to do so on your forecast page's "Forecast as of...." block as
well.

4. Personally, I would like to see the times for sun and moon risings
and settings to be expressed in 24 hour time, e.g., 0625, 2004, 0719,
and 1804 for today. (You could still leave the (EDT) in there.) That is
the time format that astronomers and mariners use. So do many airline
schedules in the US. So does most of the world.

You were once a leader in providing metric weather information in the
US. Now you're starting to fall behind and it's time to take another
look at the coding.

Thanks and best regards,
Jim Frysinger
