Bruce, Han and anyone else who might be interested:
The standard supported by most, if not all, vendors (certainly by the major
ones) of word processing software is Rich Text Format (.rtf file extension).
All Han has to do is choose Save As ... from Word's File menu and select the
RTF option before saving.
