I doubt it.

You may remember a couple of my postings from a little over a year ago, in
which I talked about the unit pricing on wine and liquor at my local
Albertson's store.

Although all the wine was in 750 mL bottles (with the exception of some
magnums [1.5 L]), shelf tags showed unit pricing per ounce. The response,
from one of the assistant managers, when I queried this crazy practice, was
simply that he didn't understand the metric system. Another assistant
manager, who joined in the conversation, said he saw nothing wrong with the
practice.

I emailed Albertson's and, apart from a pleasant acknowledgement from a
woman whose responsibility it was to coordinated and forward such email, I
heard absolutely nothing. The practice continues (surprise, surprise) to
this day.

In my email message, I questioned the need for unit pricing, in the first
place, on items packaged in containers of uniform capacity. Conceding,
however, that it's a legal requirement, I recommended per liter unit
pricing -- something I regard as an utter no-brainer. (For those on this
list who are unfamiliar with the term "no-brainer," it's used to
characterize something that even a brain-damaged idiot could figure out.)

Of course, Albertson's isn't the only offender.
