To Jim Elwell

You made a good point regarding your injection molds.
But I have a basic question.

Any government order will be future dated (ie) if an
order has been made to go metric only in 1991, it
should have taken effect only 2-3 years later.

That means not only you should have been allowed to
sell your injection molds worth over $200,000 (which
you have already made), but also should have been
allowed to produce similar molds for another 2-3
years.

During this period, you could have slowly moved to
metric. Only after this period, the law will take
effect.

Similarly the metric mandate by the congress will give
a few years, and within this period, every company can
go metric. Ofcourse some companies like Gillette will
violate, but 95 % of the companies will do the switch
over.

This is my view of the Government Order.
Do correct me if I am wrong.
