Information from "The Times Union"
 (Jacksonville, FL), 2001 May 31, page B-3:

The Florida House passed the "beer bill" and Gov. Jeb Bush signed it. It
had passed the Senate by 37-2 and more recently the House by 111-4.

The bill will allow beer (anything less than 32 "fl. oz.", whatever those
are!) to be sold in any size bottle or can, opening the way for it to be
sold in rational metric sizes. Previously, only 8, 12, 16 and 32 "oz"
bottles or cans were allowed in Florida.

The new law takes effect 2001 Oct. 1.
