Hey, you guys.  You are inventing the wheel.  You talk of the details 
of how people can be financially hurt by the change.  Wake up. 
The US is the last country to change, not the first.  The rest of the 
world already did it.  So, ask them.  Ask Canada.  Ask South Africa. 
Ask Australia.  Ask Japan. 

Canada asked each sector of society to make a plan to avoid problems. 
They did a nice job.  Canada printed a brochure for each sector which 
included a time table.  It worked well except that much of the Canadian 
economy is connected tightly to the US.  A bad deal.  The US should be 
ashamed of itself. 

We, on this list, need to do the political job, not the planning job.

The USMA is tax exempt so it can not lobby the Congress.  Its goal is clear. 
Page 2 of METRIC TODAY says "advocates U.S. conversion to the metric 
system".  The charter says "educational".
If you want politics, do it elsewhere.  USMA gives information. 
Do not knock it for not being political.
