I have never seen any other bills pass all the way into law in Tallahassee without companion bills. In just one day, in 1981, I ran from one end of the capitol to the other, just for the puny little metric bill, probably 20 times. I hope somebody someday gives me my star in my crown for that. It was fun that for a few years we had metric signs everywhere, all over the place, in Florida.
