I can't see how yesterday's results can anything but help, which is why I
followed it.

If Tony Blair feels he can now starting talking about the Euro in Britain
(which I'm neutral on) I don't see how a relatively small issue like pounds
vs. kilograms can continue to create much controversy. And maybe even the
same for miles vs. kilometers in a couple years.

And the more Britain finishes the job, the more pressure it puts on the US.

I'm hoping that the results of this election will help attenuate support, in
Britain, for the old mixture of units. If so, it will also provide a modest
boost for SI in the States and in Canada.
