If you're looking for a large salary and benefits package, then perhaps
you no longer qualify for or would want the job.

In fact, I would bet that being a USMA officer takes more out of your
pocket than goes into it. Now, if you were to undertake a large
recruiting campaign and sign up a few thousand USMA members, that might
improve your odds of seeing any compensation beyond the satisfaction of
a job well done--once you are accepted. Keep us posted.

Remember though, I put forward only a nomination; you still have to
compete for the job.
