It isn't that amazing when you realize no one actually measures their fuel
consumption. They just go by some figure that was parrotted to they by some
auto salesman or someone else. The next time a Canadian tells you his fuel
economy in miles per gallon, ask him how he calculated it. What conversion
factor did he use to get from litres per hundred kilometres to miles per
gallon. He just might change the subject or fill your ear with a mouthfull
of four letter words for having the audacity of asking such an insulting
question.
