Well, Morgen (not Morgan) is an old Prussian  unit of area equal to 25.5 a,
at least in 1932.  So, wouldn't a centimorgen be equal to 0.255 a, or 255
ma?  I'm sure they are not the same thing.  But, the old Prussian unit was
the closest that made sense.
