Joe Reid,

I hate my tiny little hand calculator with keys too small for my fingers!
It frequently happens to me that something is still in the little calculator
when I pick it up to use it. Either that or its battery is low.

My regular ten-key calculator was in my car ready for transport to work on
Monday. I am much more confident with that one.

In any event 1.3716 is not a whole centimeter which was my point all along.
Maybe the 50-inch being 127 centimeters is just a coindidance but it seemed
too good a chance to pass up to send an email to the Atlanta Constitution.
Even if they print it, which I doubt, I further doubt that any Atlanta
reader would catch the error on converting the 54 inches. I really hate to
make mistakes like that, though
