I had a little fun with my elementary school's supply list. You can see it at <http://www.howard.k12.md.us/fres>, click 'School Supplies List'. It originally contained no SI, except the vague reference to 'rulers with metric markings' as Stephan notes below. I also corrected some out-and-out, not-SI-related errors from the printed version <sigh>. For those who think that SI should have been first or only, remember two things: neither the website nor the list belong to me, and the list is for moms and dads who have to go fight the throngs at KMart. Those parents will be vocally displeased when told to purchase a non-existant 120 ml bottle of glue. And shortly thereafter, I will have lost my opportunity to do what little I did. mike jenkins [The address above wasn't working for me this (1 AUG 2001) morning; try <http://www.howard.k12.md.us>, click 'Our Schools', then 'School Directory', then 'Elementary Schools', find Forest Ridge ES in the table, and click 'Website', then click 'School Supplies List'.] >===== Original Message From "Stephen C.
