Just thought everyone would be interested in hearing from me : ).  It's been
a while since I have contributed to the list.

I was watching "Hot of the Grill."  Bobby Flay's assistant offered some SI
information to the viewers.  He said, cut the meat into 1/4-inch strips.  His
assistant then said, "That's about 5 mm for you metric fans."  He then said,
"Let's not talk about metric."

"Iron Chef" from Japan, another show on Food Network, often uses metric
measures.  The translator will often keep the units in SI or they will remain
in SI in subscript at the bottom of the screen--no translation to US units.
This is a "very" popular show.

On Emeril Live from Toronto, he asked a person how far they lived away from
the studio (I believe).  (He had taken the bus with his son to get there.)
He responded, knowing Emeril is American, with 30 km.  I thought it was
wonderful.

On Mario Batali, he will use liters (in addition to cups).  He also gave
temperatures in Celsius.  It appears that metric is in fashion.

I have many more examples of "SI in the Media" which I'd love to share with
people.  All these examples were found within the last month.  So I was not
searching over a long period of time for these.
