Un finale di agosto torrido nel Veneto, dove oggi le
temperature hanno toccato forse la punta massima
dell'estate 2001: 37 gradi a Rovigo, la massima piu'
alta, 35 gradi anche Vicenza, Verona, Padova, 33 nelle
altre citta'. Il disagio per le localita' di pianura e'
stato aumentato dal forte tasso di umidita', con punte
del 58% a Belluno. E domani la situazione meteo in
Veneto non sara' molto diversa.

LATE SUMMER HEATWAVE IN VENETO REGION
While the hot weather should be abating by the end of
August, the Veneto region registered record
temperatures yesterday with mercury rising to 37 C
(98.7 F) in Rovigo , 35 C (95 F) in Vicenza, Verona and
Padua , and 33 C (91.4 F) in other Venetian cities . A
high humidity rate, in Belluno up to 58%, added to the
sense of oppressive heat on the northern plain. Thereb
is no immediate relief in sight yet according to
weather forecasters.
