FYI only:

In a following Metric Reporter (4 October 1974) there is a short article
about the Metric Conversion Society being formed:

"A Metric Conversion Society has recently been established to serve the
business community, the education community, and the general public in
the Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia area.

The organization intends to serve those areas of society which
voluntarily decide to convert to the metric system, and will be active
only for as long as transition to the metric system requires.

The membership fee is $5. If you wish to be a member or actively
participate in this society, contact the Metric Conversion Society, PO
Box 372, Morgantown WV 26505"

I just find this interesting. Tried to look up L.M. Bianchi on the web,
but found no evidence of him. Just my curiosity driving me here. It's
like I'm an unofficial historian for metric.
