Dear David,

The Midas advertising which used the non-standard and exaggerated
submultiple expression "micro-millimeters" for remaining thickness
of brake pads was broadcast by radio in the Washington, D.C. area.

The correct submultiple is "nanometer" symbol "nm" for optical lengths.

I'll try to track down the station name for you.
