? I'm not sure I read you right, Steve. This is not about "musing" upon anything,
but proceeding with an earnest effort to learn about the TRUTH. FWIW I do apologise
if my message was perceived as "heartless" or insensitive about your grief (which I
also share as a good number of Canadians and Brazilians also lost their lives by this
coward act).

BTW, Mr. Reid completely misrepresented my position. I do not believe *necessarily*
in what this American source I quoted said, I was just merely sharing the kinds of
theories people can come up with to explain what happened. Therefore, please, Mr.
Reid, don't put words in my mouth I didn't say. Unfortunately, it seems, you do have
a problem of understanding people's positions at times, as attested by your
misinterpretation of my message, John's and a few others in the recent past. A little
more caution would go a long way towards avoiding possible resentments.

Going back to Steve. Steve, I do feel sorry about this tragedy that befell your
country, but I also fear for the future as it became crystal clear that no country
would be immune to this sort of calous action. I just pray and hope that the
investigators would also exercise prudence and thoroughness in their difficult
investigative job. I don't want to see anybody being wrongfully blamed for such
hideous crime, even if that person is the one of the caliber of a Bin Laden!
Potentially millions of lives could be at risk for a bad judgment in this case.

I do agree with the Pope though, that the time now is for reflexion and for the search
of the truth and for one to try to bridge the gap that may exist between the factions
involved, especially arabs vs West. Nobody wins by an escallation of violence. The
situation in the Middle East proves that beyond any shadow of doubt. Violence only
breeds violence!

Finally, I also share my fear for the possible consequences this kind of act may bring
to our cause as I don't know how far countries around the world would go "in sympathy
for the American people". I just hope that they will know how far to go... ;-)

Regards,

Marcus
