The British publican who was fined about 3000 pounds some years ago for
using metric glasses in his pub was a real Metric Martyr. The differences
are that he hardly got any publicity and he had no defense fund at all,

Exactly, Duncan!! This has puzzled quite a few people!! Why don't they
call themselves the Imperial Martyr's?? Surely that makes more sense??
