Our utility bill shows the electricity consumed in
kwh (kilowatt hours), and I believe even the small
and large scale industries use kwh as the unit.

I downloaded this worksheet from www.bp.com (British
Petroleum's website) which shows the electricity
consumed by countries in terawatt-hours. For some
countries like USA, China and Japan the usage runs
into thousands of TWh, while it is in single digits
for some countries.

Certainly the saying like 500 terawatt-hours is easier
than saying 500 billion kilowatt-hours. So why not
the astronomers use the term mega-meters or
giga-meters
to indicate the distance of stars far away instead of
using AU. Even the oil and coal consumption can be
stated as 500 tera-grams instead of 500 million tons.

By the way, I last month I was busy working on a euro
conversion project. Still a lot of work is left out.

Note : I am sending only the worksheet containing
electricity information.
