Thank you, Paul, for the thoughtful message. The postings have been pretty dry lately! I just love reading about the arcane stuff which makes SI such a turn off to lots of ordinary folks. But seriously, I doubt that the events since Sept. 11 have had much of an effect on our progress in moving SI forward. It is just SOS--same old story: until the feds decide to make some changes, there won't be a lot of changes. This has been true for--how many years now? 20? 30? I have great regard for the USMA(our USMA, not the Army's) and our "cause", but I really don't have a lot of hope for nationwide SI adoption until we get a president who will publicly say that the time has come.
How's that for a new thread? Well, not really new, but hopefully different and more interesting. HARRY WYETH
