In most of the USA you have the option of flat-rate unlimited number, unlimited length local calling.  In my area it would be about $17.00 a month.  We also have the option  in my area of 65 unlimited-length local calls a month for about $10.00 (I have that one).  I understand in the UK and Europe there's no such thing as this.
