Dump her!

On a more serious note: many families in Canada still think the human height in ifp. 
Not other heights for some reason. They understand for example very well the 
clearances under the bridges which are posted on the roads only in meters. They also 
understand building heights in meters, road visibility and many other common 
dimensions.

Another thought: you should ask her to look in her driver licence and tell you what 
says there under height. If she's not from Alberta it will be in metric. If she IS 
from Alberta she is most cerainly ugly, so run as fast as you can. (joking)
