They will, because the countries introducing the Euro are doing what
the US refuses to do. They are taking the old money out of circulation.
If the US took the one dollar bill out of circulation, the golden dollar
would come into widespread usage.

Exactly. But Congress is too wimpy to do that. Remember, they only listen to the whiners. This is very much on topic, because the failure to complete metrication in the USA stems from the exact same cause -- Congress.
