?  I find this rather strange, do you mean that exams in Great Britain are
all stated in obsolete units?  I rather doubt that...

As far as I understand they do not just sit exams but they have to set up
their own research project and then they can use any units they see fit. The
A-level exams for physics in the UK are in SI otherwise.
