I figure that everyone on this list is pro-metric.  So, when I speak of
someone having an anti-metric attitude, I am referring to the luddites out
there not on this list who make comments and excuses as to why we can't use
or be metric.  Many times people on this list will quote or copy other
peoples words and the comments I make are directed back to the original
source.

I see your point, John, and agree with much of it.  However, I know few
people so outrageously stupid as to not be able to figure out 2 whatnots *
2.5 = 5 whatnots, whether a "whatnot" means a gallon, a liter, or a biblical
ephah. (Note, though, I say "few" rather than "none"). <g>

I'm reasonably sure "your" referred to this hypothetical person, not to me,
but just in case it did, please note that I am not leaning toward the
"Flintstone" camp.  The USA needs SI ASAP!
