My number (90%) was not at all scientific.  I note that the [Toronto] Globe
& Mail, Maclean's Magazine, Leisure Ways (OML) etc. tend to hue to the SI
line.  I applaud them for that.  (And I question them when they backslide.)

They use to publish metric units in prominence for recipes, but recently
changed that (July 01) in a move I suspect has as a future motive to
eliminate completely the SI units from that section.  They also used to put
metric units for people's personal data, too.  Well...  They're nowhere to
