continent, it's a geographic reference.
Central America is part of the continent of
North America, as are the
Carribean Islands.

I was thinking continents -- North
America, Central America, South America; Central America being the places
south of Mexico and north of Colombia. I'm not sure where people place
the Caribbean countries (nor Greenland for that matter).
The map I
looked at to determine St-Pierre et Miquelon's time zone was a CAA/AAA map of
the Atlantic provinces.
