I know this is off-topic, so I'll react to this just this once. Aside from the question of whether Mexico belongs in Central America or not, I'm curious to learn why you said what you said below, Stephen.
To me Central America is much more than a geographic reference, it's a reality. I'd say that North America is comprised of only 2 countries (maybe 3 after all, ok, I'll accept to go that far due to NAFTA). Everything between NA and SA linking these two continents would be Central America. SA would evidently start with Colombia.
