The Babylonians used a base 60 system, which is the base of the time measurement we now use. They saw the sun go through one constelation every month, named them after animals, to which they attributed certain qualities and then they called this ring of constellations the Zodiac. Since that time the star signs have moven up one place. When according to astrologers the sun passes through the Lion in high summer on the Northern Hemisphere, it is really going through the constellation of Cancer! The astronomical constellations and the astrological signs will continue to drift further and further apart. This should have been the death of astrology, but alas, this pseudoscience and superstition is still alive and kicking.
