My mother is British. Her passport cover says European Union, it burgundy coloured, and includes a section giving translations of all the various data fields in the languages used by the EU countries. What constitutes and EU passport, based on your reference? I do remember that her previous British passport, issued around 1980, prior to when the European Community adopted a standard passport format, did have her height and it was listed in metres.
