You got me here. My mistake to write such a long message and not revise it properly.

What I meant was that I disagree that the A-series are not metric. At least this is 
what I understood from your original message. 

If you meant that it is not SI because SI has nothing to do with standards for 
products and practices then I *totally agree* with you.
However, I don't think you meant that.
