2002-01-23 I'll bet all or most of those who have departed either rarely or hardly made any contributions of any type. So, who will miss them?
The Euro is a perfect example of how to convert something. That is why it is important to our cause. As well, as a strong Europe putting pressure on the US. As for being off topic at times, well, let's face it, there isn't much new news and some topics we already beat to death. Maybe if instead of hiding in the shadows those who left could have contributed some inspiring ideas that could have kept some threads going. But, they didn't and they are just as much to blame as those of us who drift off target. John ----- Original Message ----- From: +ACI-James R. I suppose then +AD4- that others may have done so without letting me know this. Since it's +AD4- not my list, there is no reason why they should tell me they are +AD4- checking out, of course, but I sense that they expect me to feed this +AD4- back to the list. +AD4- +AD4- The most commonly stated reason for this exodus is the the volume of +AD4- traffic not pertaining to metrication. Seems to me that I've seen more +AD4- reports here lately on the value of the euro against the dollar and on +AD4- other non-metric topics than I have on efforts made to change the minds +AD4- of those in corporations, journalistic publications, or government in +AD4- favor of metrication or messages on understanding the SI. That's +AD4- probably what those departing the list are referring to. +AD4- +AD4- Jim +AD4- +AD4- -- +AD4- Metric Methods(SM) +ACI-Don't be late to metricate+ACEAIg- +AD4- James R.
