Han Sehr geehrter Herr, Auch ich habe den Artikel "Intel: Lieferengp�sse pass�" auf http://www.hartware.de/news.html?id=23350 gelesen und verstehe nicht warum dort das Zoll und das Dollar verwendet werden. Zum Ersten: auf dem europ�ische Kontinent und in den meisten anderen Staaten der Welt wird das metrische System verwendet. Wieso sollen metrischen Staaten die Masseinheiten des Mittel�lters die in den USA and Gross Britannien verwendet werden wieder einf�hren? Messen mit Zoll usw. hat nicht im Geringsten mit Fortschritt zu tun. Zum Zweiten: Die Produktion van Wafern ist seit einiger Zeit auf das metrische System umgestellt. Die sogenannten 12 Zoll Wafern messen in Wirklichkeit 300 mm exakt und nicht 304,48 mm. Warum ist der Preis f�r 800-933 MHz Prozessoren von $103 nicht nach Euro umgerechnet? Die Verwending von � f�r Mikrometer ist grunds�tzlich falsch. Die Normen f�r die Verwendung von Masseinheiten und Einheitensymbolen sind hier zu finden: http://www.ptb.de Das richtige Symbol f�r Mikrometer ist �m. Was ist falsch daran? Dort kann man auch lesen dass das Zoll nicht anerkannt wird in Deutschland. Wenn es als notwendig gehalten wird das Zoll in die EU zu verwenden, dann k�nnte man auch die Einf�hrung der Fahrenheitskala in die EU vorschlagen, weil die Amerikaner sie f�r Wettervorhersagen verwenden oder Geschwindigkeiten in mph auf deutschen und europ�ischen Autobahnen! Schluss damit! Amerikanischen Einheiten sind kein alternativ f�r das metrische Systen und wir sollten endlich etwas Selbstrespekt als Europ�er entwickeln. Bef�hrw�rter des metrische Systems in den USA (und sie brauchen Hilfe, nicht Verrat von Europ�er) nennen amerikanischen Einheiten FFU; Fred Flintstone Units. Das verweisst auf die Steinzeit. Wir sollten schluss machen mit dem Zoll! Schluss machen mit allen amerikanischen Masseinheiten! Keine Preise in Dollar! Wir haben unsere eigene W�hrung, die Euro, und ich bin stolz darauf, so wie ich stolz bin auf unserem metrischen System. Das Zoll und allen anderen Angels�chsischen Einheiten ekeln mich an. Let's stop using all other US units! No pricing in dollar! We have our own currency, the euro, and I am proud of it, just as I am proud of our metric system.
