Brian,

The entire fault is Joe's, not yours. Those of us who have up to date
software and computer systems don't experience these problems. Joe was told
a long time ago to upgrade to more modern software, even to upgrade his
computer system too. Even some older systems can be upgraded cheaply with
more memory or a larger hard drive to handle more data. Also, there are
free mail programs, such as Netscape and Outlook Express that are up to
date. One can even set up a FREE yahoo account with 4 MB of space and
access them directly from the internet browser, without ever having to
download one byte onto the local hard drive. And they are html friendly.
But, then again, Joe's browser might be from the dark ages too.

But, noooooooo, we don't want to upgrade. We want to whine instead!

Joe claims it takes 20 min to erase the email with html attachments from his
hard drive. It takes me 5 s. Goes to show you that old software is not up
to snuff. What Joe also fails to tell us is why my -once in a blue moon
html messages- are such a problem, when I'd bet he is bombarded daily by
html encoded advertisements that seem to so prevalent. Who does Joe
complain to when they flood the mailbox? I guess to me, as the senders of
those ads can't be reached.

So, as long as Joe refuses to upgrade, expect the criticism. And, do as I
do, ignore it!

John
