Joe, I delete almost all attachments, *and* e-mail (after scanning) in less than a second by working directly on my UNIX Server by, some would say, "antiquated" software (PINE), *without* any downloading. E-mail *not deleted* is retained on the Server. Does your browser provide remote access (e.g. by "telnet") to your e-mail account without downloading? That would be a faster way to scrub unwanted items than downloading. Gene.
