I think this may be of some interest, since we have such a geographically
diverse group on this forum. If not, then my apologies in advance.
In case some of you have not heard of the Opera browser, I am forwarding
their most recent newsletter. Opera is available in numerous languages, is
quite popular in Europe, and is making measurable inroads against IE in the
USA. I personally use it and far prefer it to IE.

Opera Software ASA today released Opera 6.01 for Windows,
a minor bugfix release, amid news that Opera is quickly
gaining ground in Europe. Additionally, This new release
introduces a Lycos start-up page especially made for Opera users.
According to StatMarket, usage of Opera is soaring in
several European countries. Germany, the Scandinavian
countries and Russia are leading the pack, the latter with
a whopping 5.8 percent market share for Opera.
