Ask him! I'm curious to hear his
answer.
What I find amazing, is how immigrants who come to
the US after spending years in their home countries and learning and using
metric, claim after a few years they no longer remember metric and are
completely comfortable with FFU. Yet, an American can spend a decade or
more in a foreign country and claim he/she still doesn't know metric and still
thinks in FFU.
How can that be? What should this be telling
us?

How is he able to know the distances to these
places he mentions at the end of his posting in miles, unless his car
odometer is not Canadian. If he had a kilometre odometer, he would
have a hard time comprehending miles. So, ask this guy how he is
able to know all these "miles" if everything is signed in kilometres and the
maps are metric and if he had a kilometre odometer, does he measure in
metric and convert to miles?
