To all: This email is completely off topic, and I would like to apologise in advance for posting it on the list. Yet, I just wanted to share with the members on the list a few items from my life. In two weeks, I am flying to New York City for the National Model United Nations competition with the rest of Brigham Young University's team. Immediately afterwards, I am also heading to Moscow, Russia to visit my family, which recently moved there from Riga, Latvia. I will not return to the United States until 15 May. Although I will miss my wife badly, I am excited to immerse into 100 per cent SI environment for a little bit. (And yes, Marcus, I still remember about your request...).
Secondly, this week I heard from the first graduate school I have applied to. The School of Graduate Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada has informed me of their decision to accept me into their M.A. programme (International Affairs major with specialisation in conflict analysis and conflict resolution). Although I am still awaiting answers from the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia, following which I will finalise my schooling decision, Catherine and I are planning on moving to Canada effective this August.
