As for the 'oil becoming extinct' argument, it is no so. Major automobile companies have shown auto's running on hydrogen and it can be obtained using electricity. If oil reserves are exhausted, then we will use nuclear/wind power to generate hydrogen. So Jim Elwell is correct in this aspect. But the pollution generated by petro-fuels like gasolene/diesel are a serious concern for the health of people as well as our planet. Currently our hybrid auto's run on gasolene engine and electric motor and at the next level, they will be powered by grid based electricty and gasolene.
