Dear editor,

Please pass my compliments on to Ms. Roxana Hegeman for her article on the
sextuplets born recently in Kansas. I read her article at NYTimesOnline and I
was impressed by her straight-forward style of writing. Especially impressive
was her use of metric units (kilometers and grams) in her article in a manner
that seemed quite natural and part of the natural flow of the story. This
made the article all the more interesting to me, especially since most
hospitals record birth weights in grams or kilograms automatically. Because
Ms. Hegeman included those units, I was able to mentally compare the birth
weights with the limit for the medical definition of "premature birth" to put
them in perspective.

best regards,
James R. Frysinger
