2002-04-25 The small one I have at home and all the ones we have in our office are designed for "letter" size. These tend to be the most common. I have never seen one designed for legal size. If they were common, then there would be no problem using them for A4. All I know is with the letter sized cabinets, if you don't fold the paper before you put it in the file, it becomes crunched.
