I have often derided the grotesque parochial patois of  the Oil (and Gas)
Patch.
There is a danger that SI, with all its fancy prefixes, will be regarded
with equal disdain by the FFU fraternity.  I grant that Pm, Tm, nm etc. can
be handy for specialists where such numbers are dealt with frequently.
