I took a look at the Wall Street Journal website. It requires
registration so I can't read what they have to say. I don't register on
websites just to read news.


For economic news I occasionally look at the Financial Times
www.ft.com

or the sister publication the Economist (which I often buy in paper
form)
http://www.economist.com

I like the Economist for the snapshot articles relating to all parts of
the world and the physical size is convenient for travel. It mentions
metrication comparatively often.

The two websites don't require registration for current articles.
